Frequently Asked Questions

When is it too late to enroll in classes?

Enrollment can be taken for fall session classes until 1) the class roster is full or 2) costumes have been ordered for the class.  At that time, waiting lists will be formed for the next available class to be added to the schedule.  As it nears recital time, enrollment will be taken for the upcoming summer session.

Why is there a registration fee?

The registration fee helps cover the costs of credit/debit card machine equipment and monthly service fees, sanitation supplies for the studio to make certain that we are able to do everything we can to help stop the spread of germs, studio software to manage everyone's accounts, and music supplies for class material. We hesitated adding this charge, however it is necessary and beneficial to all participants.

Why is there a recital fee? Do we need tickets for the recital?

The recital fee covers the cost of the auditorium rental for the recital.  With everyone contributing in the form of a recital fee, we DO NOT need to sell tickets to the show!  That means that all family and friends can come FOR FREE to see the performance!  Recital fee is per participant, NOT per routine!

What is the Spring Recital all about?

The Spring Recital is a showcase of what the dancers and cheerleaders have been learning all  year.  At the end of the session, each class will get their own costume and perform their routines on the stage. Each class will have 1-3 performances in the show.  We recognize several outstanding dancers throughout the session, our all-star teams, and the staff.  Everyone gets a participation ribbon at the end of the show.

Why are costume payments due so early if the show isn't until May?

By placing our costume order early, we are ensured the cheapest cost, and it gives plenty of time for delivery. We dodge the holiday season for payment, and it helps our instructors create class material for the stage early on.  Most companies have ship dates that are several months away. Costumes are passed out May 1st to those with a zero account balance. Costumes will be held until the individual's account balance has been paid.

What methods of payments does the studio accept?

The studio accepts cash, check with a DLN or SSN, visa, mastercard, discover, and any associated debit cards.

Can parents wait in the studio? Can parents drop off kids? What about family and friends?

Parents are always welcome in the studio. as well as friends and siblings.  We have a waiting room in the front where we show a closed circuit video of classes. Friends are welcome to attend class, however they can only come in to observe if they are interested in enrolling and do not interrupt the class. One observation only before officially enrolling please. Parents are permitted to stay during class times- utilize the fitness center while you wait! It's FREE!  Or parents may drop off as long as you make sure your child gets in our door safely.  All participants will be required to wait inside the studio until their ride arrives. Parents, siblings, and friends are asked to remain out of the classrooms.

I left something at the studio last week! Where should I look for it?

We have a lost and found. All found items are placed in this box until the end of the session.  The studio is not responsible for lost or left items.

Do preschool aged children need to be potty trained before class?

Not at all. Classes are a short 30 -45 minutes. Pull-ups are acceptable.

Do parents participate in the preschool class? Can parents go in?

Parents do not participate in the preschool program. We ask that parents remain out of the dance room during class.  The viewing window is for your convenience.  It is easier on everyone to separate kids with teacher from mom or dad.

I thought 2 year olds could take a class!? Why the new age minimum?

After many sessions of trying 2 year olds, we have found that the majority just aren't ready yet.  Our curriculum is designed for 3 and 4 year olds. If you have a 2 year old who you believe is truly ready and  can handle a class structure, please contact the director for pre-approval.

I want to be on a team! What should I do?

Teams tryout in the spring and begin practices in May. Team season is a full year.

Anyone interested in future tryouts should take any of our classes, let the staff know you are interested, and keep watching the website and studio bulletin boards for information.
