| Payment is due on the first class of each month, as circled on the studio calendars. Payment is due regardless of attendance. The cost of dance lessons is a semester fee, and the monthly payments are for convenience. The return check fee is $25. Balances on returned checks are due in cash. Accounts will be "cash only" after the 2nd bounced check. The studio accepts cash, checks, Visa, MasterCard, and Discover cards, and all non-pin associated debit cards. All checks must include either the Drivers License Number or the Social Security Number of the check writer to be accepted. Late fees are charged weekly as follows: 1st class of month = no late fee. 2nd class of month = $10 late fee. 3rd class of month = $10 more added to balance. 4th class of month = $10 more added to balance. Etc. The same fee schedule will apply to payments due on clothes and shoes as well. Beginning with Summer Session 2009, all dancers (class and team) will be charged a $10 registration fee for Summer participation in the months of June, July, and August. With the beginning of Fall 2009, all dancers (class and team) will be charged a $10 registration fee for First Semester participation; the months of September-December. $10 registration fee for Second Semester participation will be due in January 2010 for the months January-May. All dancers and cheerleaders must wear appropriate shoes. Tap, jazz, or ballet shoes are a must... depending on the class. Athletic style gym shoes are acceptable for hip hop classes. Preschool dancers may continue class in socks or barefeet after the tap session. Gymnastics may be done in socks, please no shoes on the mats. No dancer or cheerleader will be permitted to participate without proper foot attire. Participants are asked to dress in casual, comfortable clothing. Leotards and dancewear are a great choice, however there is no specific dress code. Please no jeans...it inhibits movement. All participants are asked to wait for their rides INSIDE the studio. We kindly ask that dancers and cheerleaders turn ringers off on their cell phones during class time. Participants are encouraged to bring water. Please no soda. Water is the only drink permitted in the dance room and should be placed in the cubby area during class. Classes will take 1-2 very quick water breaks (as a class) if needed. Food and gum should be kept out of the dance room. Parents, family, and friends are asked to remain in the waiting areas. Observers can disrupt the dynamic of the class. Instead, you may watch through the blind. Occaisionally staff will open the blind at the end of class for a quick "show." Children are welcome to play in the toy area in the back room. Parents are in charge of their supervision. The Spring Recital will be held in late May/eary June. Participants must have the appropriate costume and shoes to participate. Costumes are chosen by Kristi only, no parent input. Costumes are ordered over holiday break, payment is due with December tuition. Average costume cost is $35. A $20 per participant Recital Fee is due with January tuition and will cover the rental of the auditorium and recital supplies. Our Spring Recital is a free show... No tickets to buy, no admission for family and friends! The studio bad-weather policy follows MCCSC. If there is no school due to inclimate weather, then our classes will be canceled. If school is dismissed early due to weather, then our classes will be canceled. If there is a delay, then the studio classes will be in session. Of course, attending is at your discretion, however attendance will not affect your monthly bill. Any closings will be posted on the main page of this website. Make up classes will not be scheduled. We love to take pictures of our dancers and cheerleaders! Please be sure to let us know if we have your permission to take your child's picture, and use it in marketing or showcasing. There is a yes-or-no form that we need each parent (who did not fill out our blue registration form) to complete. Dancers and cheerleaders are taught with positive and supportive teaching/coaching. Practicing at home is encouraged. Students are welcome to bring in blank CDs or tapes for copies of their class music. Class notes are available upon request. Thank you for your cooperation to help our studio run smoothly and effectively! :) Sincerely, Kicks Unlimited Staff |
